Authenticity of Artwork

Oppenheimer Gallery guarantees the authenticity of every work of art as described. If you have questions about the authenticity, history, or condition of a piece, please contact us before completing your purchase.

Condition

Nearly all works of art in our inventory are in excellent condition. Because we maintain a large and varied inventory of antique and historic works on paper, the following condition terms apply.

If a work has a significant condition issue, we will contact you before shipment. Conservation services may be available for an additional charge.

  • Small works of art, including Audubon Octavos and Wilson prints, are sold as-is when the sale price is under $500.
  • Medium works of art, including botanicals, Catesby prints, and Gould prints, are sold as-is when the sale price is under $750.
  • Large works of art, including imperial and double-elephant folio size prints, are sold as-is when the sale price is under $1,500.

Audubon Octavo Book Mats

Audubon Octavo book mats are included only with prints priced at $300 or more.

Shipping

We currently offer complimentary ground shipping on orders over $300 shipped within the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska. This offer does not apply to Canadian shipments.

  • Expedited shipping options may be available.
  • Orders requiring conservation, matting, or framing may require additional processing time.
  • Framed orders usually ship within 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the frame selected.
  • If you need an order by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order. We will accommodate expedited requests whenever possible.

Returns

If you are dissatisfied with the artwork for any reason, returns are accepted within 30 days of receipt. Sales are final 30 days after receipt of artwork.

  • Returned artwork must be received in the same condition in which it was shipped before a refund is issued.
  • Artwork sent on approval must be paid for in full before release.
